About

About the show

All The Best is a weekly half hour podcast and radio show devoted to audio features, radio documentary, narrative journalism, radio art, audio fiction and live storytelling.

We tell stories in sound, and help new makers learn how from pitch through to broadcast.

We’re produced at FBi Radio on Gadigal Land, and the stories featured on our show come from contributors across the country. We’re syndicated across Australia via the Community Radio Network.

Since 2010, we’ve been winners and finalists in ‘Best Spoken Word’ and ‘Excellence in Creative Audio’ at the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia awards. One of our producers won a Walkley award for a story she did on the program. We’ve been listed as a top Australian podcast by the Sydney Morning Herald, The Guardian Australia and Tech Radar.

In addition to the weekly program, we run online and in-person audio meet ups, audio workshops, live storytelling events, and a structured 6 month mentorship through the Jesse Cox Audio Fellowship.

How is All The Best funded?

We receive grant funding from the Community Broadcasting Foundation and are currently sponsored by the Art Gallery of New South Wales, which supports a small team of part-time staff, operational costs, and subscriptions. We’re also fortunate to receive foundation funding from the Jesse Cox Audio Fellowship, which supports the creation of 25 original audio stories a year, as well as mentorship, workshop and commission fees.

If you love what we do, you can support us by considering a donation.

How do I get involved?

If you’re interested in making a story or getting involved with All The Best as a mentor, storymaker, sound designer, voice actor or volunteer we’d love to hear from you. Our team are based across Australia and there’s a variety of ways to get involved.
