Background

From 2013 to 2020, the Community Media Training Organisation delivered the ‘National Feature and Documentary Series’, boosting the careers of numerous producers and journalists. This program will adapt the accredited curriculum and framework to support a new cohort in a flexible format, with an emphasis on supporting new makers.

All The Best is the home of new Australian audio storytelling and supports over 100 emerging producers to bring weird and wonderful ideas to life on air each year. The Audio Storytelling Mentorship is an opportunity to make audio storytelling knowledge, frameworks and resources accessible and connect with producers from diverse communities and backgrounds.

With shrinking opportunities to support creative audio practice, programs like this are more important than ever. Audio storytelling is a powerful skill that has the ability to connect and inspire and fbi.radio and the CMTO is excited to be home to this new program that aims to strengthen audio storytelling and the Australian radio community.
